Mountain biking
Many of the attractive mountain-biking routes (launched in May 2013) through the Odenwald mountains start or intersect at popular tourist sites or restaurants, often following different routes from the hiking paths. But what makes them particularly special is that some of the trails are ‘wild’, undeveloped forest tracks.
The 300 kilometers of clearly-signposted mountain bike trails were created by the City of Heidelberg in collaboration with fellow local authorities and the Nature park.
Maps
High-quality folding maps, including separate mini-maps for each of the six circuits, are available for €6.90 from the tourist information points at Heidelberg Central Station and the City Hall, and from the All-German Cycle Club (ADFC)
