Welcome to Heidelberg

International Welcome Center Heidelberg (IWCH)

In the Landfried complex in the Heidelberg district of Bergheim, the Foreigners Authority (Ausländerbehörde) and the "Intercultural Center" are jointly presented as the "International Welcome Center Heidelberg" (IWCH). As new point of contact for all new arrivals, the IWCH unites the services of the Foreigners Authority and the diverse services of the Intercultural Center in one place. The Landfried area also includes the offices of the Youth Council and the Council for Foreigners and Migrants. Heidelberg's Migrant Self-Organizations (MSO), as well as associations and initiatives can hire the rooms of the Intercultural Center at favourable conditions. At the International Building Exhibition ("Internationale Bauaustellung"), the IWCH was presented as a lighthouse project of the city.
