Integration through dialogue and exercise

The project "Integration through dialogue and exercise” offers sports courses for German and non-German adults as well as children and young people. The idea is to foster friendly contact between German and non-German families by bringing them together for sporting activities. Amongst other things the project offers trial membership of the football team "FT Kirchheim 1907" at a cost of four euros per month or 48 euros per year.

The courses take place on different weekdays in various sports centers in the city.

A number of Heidelberg sports clubs already have migrants amongst their members, but in particular many women with a migration background have not yet found access to any sporting activities. The female sports coaches themselves have a migration background. The project was started by Sportkreis Heidelberg together with the charitable organization Caritas Heidelberg, and receives funding from the city.
